Why Kai?

With so many incredible organisations making a difference in the marine space, why Kai?

We choose to focus on the ‘gaps’ - areas where we can make a tangible difference. We’re pragmatic, practical, and firmly rooted in community. By addressing broken relationships and building scalable, grassroots solutions, we empower everyone—fishers, communities, and the ocean itself—to get what they need. We believe in the power of everybody, and we’re here to help all parties move forward, together.
